The manufacturer promises that this unit can work in rooms up to 1,056 square feet. It has two composite filters, an automatic mode, a long warranty, and a sleek design. I’ve decided it’s a good time to go deeper into the details to figure out if the purifier is truly worth that money.

Since the unit has filters on both sides, you need to install it away from obstacles. I would recommend placing it at least 10 inches away from walls. Caster wheels allow moving the machine around the room so it doesn’t get in your way.

The manufacturer promises that this air purifier can deal with 1,056 square feet of space. Since I’m used to manufacturers exaggerating the numbers a bit, I work with the CADR rating to figure out the truth. Let’s look at this air purifier’s CADR:

To find out how big of an area the purifier can service, I use a simple formula – CADR x 1.5. In this case, we get 495 square feet. It means that for an area of about 500 square feet, the air purifier can provide about five air changes per hour.

For a room, which is 1,056 sq. ft. (as claimed by the manufacturer), the unit can offer about 1.5 air changes per hour. This may be sufficient for slightly contaminated areas. However, people with allergies or respiratory problems shouldn’t consider anything less than 4 air changes per hour.
